Kin Showa is a metallic variety of the traditional Showa koi. It features a striking combination of three colors: black (sumi), red (hi), and white (shiro), all overlaid with a shiny, metallic sheen. This metallic luster comes from its kin (gold) gene, which gives the koi a bright, reflective quality. Like all Showa, Kin Showa also displays a black base with red and white markings, but the metallic finish makes it stand out in any pond. It's a unique and eye-catching koi variety prized for both its bold coloration and its reflective beauty.
All of our koi are hand-picked in Japan and brought back to the US. We choose from the best breeders and offer a wide variety that include every variety we can get our hands on. All of the koi are quarantined for a minimum of 4 weeks, during that time we perform slime coat swipes and various other tests to check for any parasites/illnesses and medicate as necessary. Our goal is to provide you with healthy, beautiful koi that you will enjoy for years to come.
- Free Shipping is valid for orders with a subtotal exceeding $199 and all orders will be shipped via UPS. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm will ship the following day. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm on Friday will ship Monday.
- Koi Fish only ship Monday- Wednesday. For orders placed after 3pm on Wednesday, the order will be shipped the following Monday.
- For Motor Freight (LTL) Shipments, oversized or heavy items unsuitable for traditional parcel delivery will be dispatched through a motor freight carrier, as indicated on the product page. Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
- You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
