The Fitz’s Fish Ponds/Koi Trips USA team recently attended the prestigious All Japan Koi Show 2025, held on January 25 and 26, 2025, at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center.

This world-renowned event, hosted by the General Incorporated Association All Japan Nishikigoi Promotion Association, showcases the most exquisite and high-quality koi, attracting breeders, hobbyists, and enthusiasts from around the globe.

All Japan Koi Show
The All Japan Koi Show (AJKS), established in 1968 by the Zen Nippon Airinkai (ZNA), is the world’s most prestigious koi competition, held annually in Tokyo. It showcases the finest Nishikigoi from top breeders, hobbyists and dealers worldwide, setting the standard for koi excellence.
The event has grown into a global spectacle, with international participants competing for the coveted Grand Champion title, often awarded to Kohaku, Sanke or Showa varieties. AJKS continues to shape breeding trends and influence the koi industry, solidifying its reputation as the pinnacle of competitive koi appreciation.

The 55th All Japan Koi Show’s Unforgettable Grand Champion
This year’s Grand Champion title was awarded to a breathtaking 97cm Dainichi Showa. Earlier in the year, Fitz’s Fish Ponds had the privilege of being presented with this koi at Dainichi Koi Farm, making the victory even more special. Witnessing her journey from the farm to the top of the podium was an unforgettable experience and a testament to the exceptional bloodline and care behind her development.
