When you don’t have a lot of space in your backyard and yet you enjoy the sounding of running water, fountains and bubbling rocks are the perfect choice. We can install these attractive stone elements anywhere you desire, and Fitz’s Fish Ponds offers various shapes and sizes for you to choose from.
Fountains and bubbling rocks are elements which combine rock and stone with water fountains. Water will typically be emitted from the top of the stone, and will run down the sides into a basin or another desired location. They are ideal for smaller yards or properties and they may also be added to decks or patios. Fountains and bubbling rocks need an area for water collection so that the water and pump can be contained.
Whether you want us to install a disappearing fountain, vase fountain or bubbling rock, we will recommend products that provide the versatility and dependability which is needed to work wherever you want us to add them. Once we install your fountain and bubbling rocks, ongoing maintenance will be a breeze.
Water circulation and movement is a necessity for any healthy water garden or pond. Fountains and bubbling rocks provide this while also delivering the pleasant, soothing sound of moving water to your ears. These products are simple to maintain and will only require the reservoir to be filled every three weeks or so to make up for water that has evaporated. We can also add automatic fill valves that will make your fountain and bubbling rock practically maintenance free.
Fountains and bubbling rocks can also be installed in areas that receive cold winters. Fitz’s Fish Ponds is based in New Jersey and we can assist you with this process. Before winter sets in we can take the pump away from the basin and place it indoors. The boulder and basin can be left outside.
The cost for installing a fountain and bubbling rock will depend on the type of rock and its size. Larger, natural rocks or those made from rare, hard to find stone will cost more than smaller or fake rocks that are comprised of materials which are readily available such as concrete. The operating costs also tend to be lower for these water features since the pumps tend to be small and as a consequence use minimal electricity. In fact, they can be set by timer to only function when you’re at home.
