Marimo Moss Balls, though often mistaken for a plant, are actually unique spherical formations of algae and a decorative exception to the typical aquarium rule of avoiding algae. Naturally found in shallow lakes, where wave movement shapes them, these moss balls need to be rotated regularly in an aquarium to maintain their form. They can be divided into smaller pieces, which will gradually become spherical, or used creatively to form carpets or attach to roots and stones. Easy to care for and versatile, Marimo Moss Balls add a natural charm, and are even protected in parts of Japan due to their significance.

• Free Shipping is valid for orders with a subtotal exceeding $199 and all orders will be shipped via UPS. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm will ship the following day. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm on Friday will ship Monday.
• Koi Fish only ship Monday- Wednesday. For orders placed after 3pm on Wednesday, the order will be shipped the following Monday.
• For Motor Freight (LTL) Shipments, oversized or heavy items unsuitable for traditional parcel delivery will be dispatched through a motor freight carrier, as indicated on the product page. Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
