The body is long, thick, and well-balanced, with exceptional volume through the shoulder and a strong tail tube that promises continued longevity and growth. Skin quality is a standout feature: luminous ki-yellow overlays a deep, lacquer-like sumi base, softened by the characteristic kage (shadowed) effect that gives this koi depth, complexity, and sophistication under natural light.

The sumi is stable and well-anchored, showing excellent placement and future potential as it continues to consolidate with age. The pattern is bold yet harmonious, flowing cleanly across the frame without overcrowding—ideal for high-level exhibition where balance and presence are paramount.

• Free Shipping is valid for orders with a subtotal exceeding $199 and all orders will be shipped via UPS. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm will ship the following day. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm on Friday will ship Monday.
• Koi Fish and Live Plants only ship Monday- Wednesday. For orders placed after 3pm on Wednesday, the order will be shipped the following Monday.
• For Motor Freight (LTL) Shipments, oversized or heavy items unsuitable for traditional parcel delivery are not eligible for free shipping. There items will be dispatched through a motor freight carrier, as indicated on the product page. Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Return shipping cost are covered by the customer and some items returned will result in a restocking fee. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
