Aya Wakaba koi are a vibrant and rare koi variety created by crossing Midorigoi and Shusui. Their body features a soft yellow to light green tone, often paired with a Doitsu scale layout, scaleless sides with a row of bold indigo or metallic scales running along the spine.
Visually, they resemble a yellow version of a Shusui, replacing the typical red with golden citrus tones and swapping blue for clean, cool green. This koi variety was first created by Yamanaka Koi Farm and improved by Marusaka Koi Farm. Aya Wakaba koi remain rare in collections, making them particularly attractive for those seeking something unique.
