Back-to-Back Shipments? You Bet. With shipments arriving in rapid succession, our team has been running at full speed—unboxing, acclimating, and preparing koi for quarantine and distribution across our farm and retail locations.
This year, there were some weeks where koi shipments spanned two or three straight days, and our crew moved hundreds of pounds of koi with expert care and serious endurance. (Who needs a gym when you’re unloading jumbo koi?)
This koi season at Fitz’s Fish Ponds has been nothing short of legendary. What began as some small pickup at JFK Airport quickly escalated into a full-scale koi takeover—pallets upon pallets of high-grade Japanese koi arriving week after week, each one hand-selected from Japan’s most prestigious breeders.
