Cryptocoryne ‘Sri Lanka’ is a distinctive and less common species of Cryptocoryne, originating from the limestone-rich, fast-flowing rivers of Sri Lanka. To thrive in an aquarium, this plant requires a calcium-rich environment along with essential nutrients such as CO2, phosphate, iron, and nitrate. As a root-feeding plant, it benefits greatly from regular supplementation with root tabs. While it adapts well to submerged growth, it can also grow emersed and may even produce delicate flowers above the water’s surface. This versatile plant can be anchored in the substrate or attached to rocks and driftwood using cotton thread or fishing line.

Like all Cryptocoryne species, this plant is sensitive to sudden changes in water parameters and may experience "crypt melt" when introduced to a new environment. If melting occurs, trimming away affected leaves and maintaining stable water conditions will encourage recovery and new growth. It also prefers moderate to low lighting, as excessive light can contribute to leaf deterioration.

Cryptocoryne ‘Sri Lanka’ propagates naturally through runners, which can be separated and replanted for fuller coverage. For best results, space individual stems about an inch apart, ensuring roots have proper access to nutrients. Whether used as a foreground or midground plant, this crypt brings a lush, natural aesthetic to freshwater aquascapes.

Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
