Cryptocoryne x willisii, once known as Cryptocoryne nevillii, is a highly sought-after, low-growing aquarium plant renowned for its ease of care and attractive appearance. Native to riverbanks in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, this undemanding Cryptocoryne forms lush, ground-covering carpets through its runners. The plant's leaves are longish-ovate to lanceolate in shape, with a medium green hue that lacks any distinctive pattern.

Cryptocoryne x willisii thrives in a variety of conditions, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists. It is particularly well-suited to hard water conditions, similar to other Sri Lankan Cryptocorynes. For optimal growth, provide moderate to high light, though it can tolerate lower light levels as well. The plant benefits from a nutrient-rich substrate.  To prevent the initial melting phase and for continued success with this plant, provide it with root fertilizing tablets or capsules, and repeat the dose every 2 - 3 months.  While CO2 supplementation is not essential, it can enhance growth and promote a denser carpet.

Propagation is straightforward, as C. x willisii reproduces by producing runners that spread from the main plant. To propagate, simply cut the runners and replant them where desired. This method allows for easy expansion and the creation of a full, carpeted look in the aquarium.

Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
