Enter Your Koi in a 6-Foot Tank

If you're looking to enter your koi into the Tri-State ZNA Koi Show, Fitz Fish Ponds has the perfect 6-foot tanks available to house your prized fish. Each koi, including Longfin varieties, will be measured from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail (caudal fin) to determine its size and corresponding fish points.

Koi Size and Points

Use the chart below to calculate your koi’s point value:

• Size 1 (10.0 cm to 19.9 cm / 7.8”) – 1 point
• Size 2 (20.0 cm to 29.9 cm / 11.8”) – 2 points
• Size 3 (30.0 cm to 39.9 cm / 15.7”) – 3 points
• Size 4 (40.0 cm to 49.9 cm / 19.6”) – 5 points
• Size 5 (50.0 cm to 59.9 cm / 23.6”) – 8 points
• Size 6 (60.0 cm to 69.9 cm / 27.5”) – 12 points
• Size 7 (70.0 cm to 79.9 cm / 31.4”) – 15 points
• Size 8 (80.0 cm and above / 31.5”+) – 16 points

How Many Tanks Do You Need?

Each 6-foot tank has a recommended load of 24 points, ensuring your koi have the best environment for display and judging. To determine the number of tanks needed, add up the total points from your fish and divide by 24. If you require additional space, 8-foot tanks are available with a 36-point limit.

Reserve Your Tank for the Show

Each 6-foot tank reservation costs $75 per entry. Space is limited, so securing your tanks in advance is highly recommended.

• Free Shipping is valid for orders with a subtotal exceeding $199 and all orders will be shipped via UPS. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm will ship the following day. Items purchased for delivery after 3pm on Friday will ship Monday.
• Koi Fish only ship Monday- Wednesday. For orders placed after 3pm on Wednesday, the order will be shipped the following Monday.
• For Motor Freight (LTL) Shipments, oversized or heavy items unsuitable for traditional parcel delivery will be dispatched through a motor freight carrier, as indicated on the product page. Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
