Nymphaea stellata, also known as Nymphaea nouchali, is a striking water lily from Sri Lanka, commonly sold under names like Nymphaea spec. "Red", N. spec. "Sri Lanka", Red and Blue Water Lily, and Star Lotus. It is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia, extending to Australia. As the national flower of Sri Lanka, known locally as "Manel," this species is highly variable, with different flower colors and natural hybrids used for ornamental purposes.

In aquariums, Nymphaea stellata produces submerged leaves similar to those of Nymphaea minuta from Madagascar. The plant grows from bulbs, sending out red, arrowhead-shaped leaves on long, slender stems. Under optimal conditions, it may produce fragrant flowers about 2.75 inches in diameter, which rise approximately 4 inches above the water’s surface. These elegant blooms, open during the day, feature narrow petals that are primarily white with a soft transition to blue or red at the edges, making them a stunning addition to any aquascape.

Once the carrier receives your order, they will reach out to arrange a delivery time. An individual aged 18 or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
• You may return or exchange an unused or unopened item for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Following 30 days, the item may be returned in exchange for a store credit. Used chemicals and fish food are not returnable. In addition, all sales on Japanese Koi are final and non-refundable.
