After an impressive 39-year career in the semiconductor industry, Jim Cudworth decided it was time for a change. Tired of the corporate grind and eager to pursue his lifelong passion, Jim made the leap from tech to tanks—officially joining Fitz’s Fish Ponds team after years of helping out on the farm during weekends and koi shipments.

A koi keeper for over 30 years and an active member of the Tri-State ZNA, Jim brings deep knowledge and hands-on experience to his role as Fish Department Lead. His extensive background in koi care, health, and husbandry makes him a valuable resource for our team and our customers and hobbyists.

Jim now leads our Fish Department with dedication and expertise, ensuring our koi are healthy, our customers are educated, and our standards remain top-tier. When he’s not at the farm, you’ll likely find Jim enjoying the great outdoors—hiking, boating, or casting a line on the water.
