John Cameron joined the Fitz’s Fish Ponds team in 2024 and has quickly grown into an essential part of the New Hope retail crew. With a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a natural enthusiasm for the pond world, John has proven himself to be an awesome asset to the team in a short amount of time.

A 2007 graduate of Upper Dublin High School in Fort Washington, PA, John originally attended culinary school but ultimately found his calling elsewhere. He spent several years in retail, developing strong customer service skills before working in the pond department of a landscaping company. There, he discovered his love for ponds, koi, and the peaceful, hands-on work that comes with the trade.

Though he stepped away from the industry to explore other paths, it wasn’t long before he realized where he truly belonged. After working long days in a dark warehouse, John happened to drive past FFP’s New Hope location—and everything clicked. He missed the outdoors, the fish, and the pond lifestyle. He applied shortly after, and the rest is history.

Outside of work, John enjoys playing video games and building with Legos. His interests include animals, nature, and traveling. He also has a twin sister and values time spent with his family.
