What is euthanasia? Euthanizing a fish is a humane and carefully considered process designed to minimize distress and ensure a peaceful passing. Various methods exist, each with its own set of considerations and suitability depending on the species, size, and circumstances. It is crucial to approach fish euthanasia with sensitivity and follow recommended guidelines to maintain the well-being of the fish and respect ethical considerations.
The process of euthanizing a single fish typically takes around 30-60 minutes. You have the option to decide whether you would prefer to be present for the procedure or not.
It's advisable to communicate your intentions for the fish after it has been euthanized so that we can make necessary preparations, should the need arise for us to take the fish with us.
