Meet Aaron Delmanto – Pond Construction Sales Manager at Fitz’s Fish Ponds

Aaron Delmanto’s journey into the pond industry began 25 years ago with a passion for landscaping and a drive for hands-on learning. While in college, he launched his own landscaping company at just 18 years old, taking on small projects and gradually transitioning into larger-scale builds, including ponds. A self-taught entrepreneur, Aaron scoured job boards for opportunities, booked friends to help with projects, and built his business from the ground up.

What drew Aaron to ponds was their natural beauty and the sense of tranquility they bring to any space. His design philosophy focuses on creating ponds and landscapes that look as if they’ve always been part of the property—organic, flowing, and seamlessly integrated into the environment. He sees ponds as more than just water features; they are serene ecosystems that foster community and bring people closer to nature.

Beyond his expertise in pond construction, Aaron embraces the full spectrum of outdoor living. He loves the creative process of designing a pond as the centerpiece of a larger landscape, incorporating patios, outdoor kitchens, and other elements to create a cohesive outdoor retreat.

Joining Fitz’s Fish Ponds – Striving to Be the Best

With decades of experience under his belt, Aaron knew he wanted to work with the best in the industry. He had followed Fitz’s Fish Ponds for years, admiring their craftsmanship, expertise, and passion for creating world-class water features. Drawn by their reputation as industry leaders, Aaron saw an opportunity to contribute his skills while continuing to grow and learn alongside a team of top-tier pond professionals. Now, as the Pond Construction Sales Manager, he is proud to be part of an organization that pushes the boundaries of pond design and installation.

Passion for Teaching and Giving Back

A resident of Old Bridge, NJ, Aaron enjoys time with his wife, three kids, and their family cat. He also finds fulfillment in volunteering at an orphanage in South Africa, a mission he has dedicated himself to for over a decade, traveling there every other year to support children and local initiatives. Additionally, he has a deep-rooted passion for horticulture, currently cultivating 450 varieties of fig trees, with interest from institutions like the New York Botanical Garden.

As a leader in the pond industry, Aaron takes pride in teaching and mentoring others. Through in-house training and hands-on workshops, he shares his expertise with contractors and pond enthusiasts, demonstrating how to build stunning water features in just a day. His eagerness to continue learning and pushing the boundaries of pond construction makes him an invaluable part of the Fitz’s Fish Ponds team.
