Ed Schnoor – Retail Manager, Fitz’s Fish Ponds Mt. Holly
Ed Schnoor brings decades of hands-on experience, passion, and deep-rooted knowledge to his role as Retail Manager at FFP Mt. Holly. A lifelong New Jersey native, Ed graduated from Northern Burlington High School before starting his career working on a Standardbred horse farm, raising and caring for racehorses.
Ed’s love for ponds and aquatic life began at a young age—spending his childhood outdoors catching turtles, snakes, and going fishing. “I never thought this hobby I loved could become a business,” Ed says, “but it did—and I’ve loved every step of the journey.”
In the 1980s, Ed launched Aquatic Gardens, a business focused on water lilies and garden supplies. He sharpened his skills at Lily Pons Water Gardens, working and learning the craft of growing and selling hardy lilies. He later expanded his knowledge of tropical varieties while working with Mr. Schmidlin at Tricker’s Water Gardens.
As Aquatic Gardens grew, Ed began offering pond maintenance and service, bringing family into the business and expanding into nationwide distribution. In 2009, he and his wife launched Lily Ponds Emporium, continuing their shared passion for water gardening and aquatic plants.
Looking ahead to retirement, Ed partnered with Fitz’s Fish Ponds in 2025, selling the business and officially joining the FFP team. With a lifetime of expertise and a true love for the hobby, he’s excited for this next chapter with FFP and supporting pond enthusiasts across the region.
When he’s not at the shop, Ed is an avid motorcyclist, a passionate NASCAR fan, and loves traveling with his wife and daughter. He’s also a dedicated dog lover and especially enjoys raising Rottweilers.
