Distinctive Shusui Coloration

Shusui koi are admired for their beautiful blue coloration and recognizable dorsal row of scales. Unlike fully scaled koi varieties, Shusui have a largely scaleless body, with prominent scales arranged along the back. This 21cm Japanese Imported Shusui displays these characteristic features, creating a clean and distinctive appearance that stands out among other koi varieties.

The Signature Doitsu Appearance

One of the defining characteristics of Shusui is its Doitsu, or scaleless, body type. The smooth-looking sides contrast with the orderly row of dark blue scales along the dorsal line, giving the fish its unmistakable appearance. These unique characteristics make Shusui an appealing option for collectors who appreciate koi with distinctive scale patterns and body features.

A Beautiful Addition to Your Koi Pond

At 21cm, this Japanese Imported Shusui is an attractive choice for hobbyists looking to add a distinctive variety to their pond. Its blue coloring and signature dorsal scales provide visual interest and contrast with koi featuring red, white, yellow, or metallic coloration. Whether expanding an established collection or introducing a new variety, this Shusui brings classic Japanese koi appeal to any pond display.
