Classic Sanke Coloration

Sanke, also known as Taisho Sanke, are celebrated for their beautiful combination of white, red, and black. The clean white base, known as shiroji, provides a bright foundation for the vibrant red hi and contrasting black sumi. Together, these colors create the recognizable three-color appearance that makes Sanke a popular choice among koi enthusiasts.

A Striking Three-Color Pattern

The appeal of Sanke lies in the balance and contrast between its three signature colors. Red markings bring warmth and vibrancy, while black accents add depth and definition against the white base. This traditional pattern creates an elegant display that complements a variety of koi in a mixed pond.
