Promote vibrant, lush growth in your aquarium with Microbe-Lift Bloom & Grow Phosphorus, a specially formulated liquid supplement designed to address phosphorus deficiency in aquatic plants. Regular dosing helps to ensure your plants thrive, preventing stunted growth and other signs of deficiency. Ideal phosphate levels typically range between 0.15 and 1.0 mg/L, and testing your water is recommended to maintain proper balance, as phosphate can enter the aquarium from various sources like fish food.
When used as directed, Microbe-Lift Bloom & Grow Phosphorus enhances and accelerates plant growth without promoting algae, thanks to its nitrate-free and phosphate-free formula. Pair it with other BLOOM & GROW™ plant supplements for optimal plant health and a thriving aquarium.
Key Benefits:
- Promotes Lush Plant Growth: Addresses phosphorus deficiency to support vibrant and healthy plants.
- Phosphate-Free Formula: Encourages plant growth without increasing algae risk.
- Easy to Use: Convenient liquid supplement for regular dosing.
- Nitrate-Free: Ensures a balanced and healthy aquatic environment.
Support the health and beauty of your aquatic plants with Microbe-Lift Bloom & Grow Phosphorus, your go-to solution for preventing phosphorus deficiency and promoting lush growth in your aquarium.
Phosphorus deficiency in aquatic plants can lead to several distinct symptoms that can negatively affect plant health and appearance. Here’s how to identify it:
- Dark Green or Bluish-Green Leaves:
- One of the most common signs is the darkening of older leaves. Instead of yellowing, like with nitrogen deficiency, the leaves may turn a darker shade of green, sometimes with a bluish tint.
- Red or Purple Coloring:
- Older leaves, especially on stems, may develop red, purple, or bronze hues. This is due to the accumulation of anthocyanin pigments, a typical response to phosphorus deficiency.
- Stunted Growth:
- Overall growth may be slow, with new leaves appearing smaller than usual. The plant's energy is diverted to maintaining existing tissues rather than growing new ones.
- Poor Root Development:
- Phosphorus is crucial for root growth, so a deficiency often results in weak, underdeveloped root systems.
- Leaf Curling or Deformation:
- Leaves may start to curl, twist, or deform, especially on older growth.
- Algae Growth:
- In some cases, phosphorus deficiency might indirectly contribute to an increase in certain types of algae, as the nutrient balance in the water is disturbed.
Dosing Instructions
Use 1/2 tsp. (2.5 mL) per 20 gal. (75 L) once or twice a week or as needed in response to phosphorus deficiency.
The initial dose releases phosphorus by 0.05 mg/L. The ideal phosphate level will vary, but generally ranges from 0.15–1.0 mg/L.
