Classic Red and White Kohaku Patterning

Kohaku are among the most popular Japanese koi varieties, admired for their clean white base, known as shiroji, accented by vibrant red markings called hi. This traditional color combination creates a striking contrast and an elegant appearance. On this 25cm Butterfly Doitsu Kohaku, the classic pattern is paired with distinctive Doitsu features and flowing fins for a unique presentation.

Smooth Doitsu Appearance

Doitsu koi are recognized for their reduced scaling, which creates a smoother appearance compared with fully scaled varieties. This distinctive feature adds visual interest to the Butterfly Doitsu Kohaku and allows its red-and-white patterning to remain the focus. The combination of classic Kohaku coloration and Doitsu characteristics makes this koi an appealing choice for collectors.

Elegant Butterfly Fins

Butterfly koi are admired for their long, flowing fins, which create graceful movement as they swim through the water. These elongated fins distinguish Butterfly varieties from standard-finned koi and add elegance to their silhouette. Paired with the clean white base and vibrant red markings, the fins give this koi a distinctive and eye-catching appearance.
